Certification requirements

Have a Starter or Premier Plan for at least 18 months

This requirement ensures that you have sufficient experience with the platform to provide expert-level assistance to others. It's not just about usage—it's about mastering the system to offer truly informed guidance.

Complete 10 services or refer 10 people to Dubsado

Hit a total of 10 through Dubsado client services (setups, strategy sessions, etc... see FAQ for more info), paid referrals (through your affiliate code), or a mix of both within the last 12 months. This shows you're not just experienced, but also actively contributing to the Dubsado community.

Pass application process

Our team personally reviews each application, taking into account your time with Dubsado, affiliate redemptions, and contributions to the community. It's our way of making sure you're a great fit for the program.

Pass exam process

The final hurdle is an exam to demonstrate your expertise in setting up a Dubsado account. A score of 90 or higher confirms you're ready to provide top-level support as a certified specialist. More info below.

Process to become certified

Start application

Step 1: Submit your application

Apply anytime throughout the year. The application includes questions about your services, business tenure, time with Dubsado, affiliate code, completed setups, and any educational resources you offer related to Dubsado.

Step 2: Create demo account

After passing the application stage, you'll get instructions on setting up a demo account. This acts as an "exam" where you simulate setting up an account for a user. You'll need to configure workflows, canned emails, schedulers, and more to display your expertise with the platform.

Step 3: Submit demo account

After completing your demo setup, follow the provided instructions to submit it for review. You'll need a score of 90 or higher to pass. The aim isn't to trick you, but to validate your proficiency with the platform. Your demo account must be submitted within 60 days of passing step one (your application).'

Step 4: Become certified

Once you pass the demo account exam, you're almost there. You'll receive a contract, code of conduct, and a final questionnaire. Complete these items, and you'll get your certified badge along with the ability to create your directory listing. Welcome to certified specialist status.

Step 5: Recertify every 18 months

To keep your certified status and perks, you'll need to recertify every 18 months. Unlike the initial exam, recertification focuses on a series of questions about platform updates over the past 18 months. It ensures you're up to date with Dubsado's changes, allowing you to serve your clients effectively.

No, there is no fee for our Certified Specialist Program to make it accessible and focused on what truly matters—your expertise and contribution to the Dubsado community. By streamlining the perks and enhancing our directory, we're placing greater emphasis on practical experience. The only "barrier" is your proven ability to set up or refer at least 10 successful Dubsado accounts.
Yes, they do! Any paid referral even those in the 60 day pending payout window will still count.
Your certification is valid for 18 months. At the end of this period, you'll need to go through the recertification process to maintain your certified specialist status and continue enjoying its associated perks.
The One-Click Template perk allows us to convert your custom forms into shareable or sellable assets. With this feature, you can effortlessly share your expertise, as users can easily add your form to their own accounts with just a single click. The cost for this perk is a one-time fee of $35 per template request, which covers the conversion of your form into a shareable link. There is no limit to how many forms you can request.
If your certification status expires, the shareable form link will become inactive for new downloads. Don't worry, though - we'll provide a 30-day grace period after expiration before deactivating it. Any forms previously downloaded by clients remain unaffected and fully accessible

Any Dubsado course sell, set up, paid consult call, strategy session, form design, or any service rendered that aids a Dubsado user qualifies towards certification, regardless of the duration or scope of the engagement. Whether it's a brief consult or a comprehensive setup, what matters is the support extended to the user. If you perform a service and have a client that also use your code, that will count as 2 towards that 10 total.
If you operate an agency, rest assured we've tailored our program to fit your needs. Every agency is eligible for a single directory listing, and to maintain it, a minimum of 10 services must be completed. Only the agency's operator needs to be certified, as they are ultimately responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of the service provided. However, if individual members of your team desire their own recognition, they can have separate listings. Each individual listing will need to meet our certification criteria independently. This approach is designed to recognize both the collective efforts of agencies and the individual contributions within our specialist community.
