As someone who focuses on custom setups in both Dubsado and ClickUp, I'm often asked, "If I already have Dubsado, do I really need ClickUp too?"
If you provide online or in-person services and you have tasks to manage within your business, then yes, you need both Dubsado AND ClickUp... or another task management tool.
In short, while Dubsado focuses on client communication, form and proposal creation and other business processes, ClickUp focuses on task organization, project management and collaboration with team members or contractors.
And yes, BOTH enhance your business operations and improve efficiency!
I know, I'm adding another platform to your plate.
But, what if I told you there are easy ways to have Dubsado and ClickUp speak to one another... while saving you time and headaches?
Below are 5 ways Dubsado can speak to ClickUp and vice versa.
This can be done through Zapier — a free automation tool that allows you to connect different applications.
You can tell your Zapier to create a folder in ClickUp when a client signs a contract in Dubsado. (What's even cooler? Zapier can apply a template of your choice to that folder!)
No more having to manually create a new folder in your workspace, adding lists to that folder, updating project statuses, and assigning team members and due dates. That little Zap can save you 30+ minutes per client and can automatically setup those things for you when the task is created!
Another Zapier favorite of mine!
When a new lead is added in Dubsado, you can tell Zapier to create a task in ClickUp.
This is perfect for those that want to have a table view of the amount of leads they have come through each month, or an easy way to know which leads to follow up with. (Yes, this is all possible to be done within Dubsado as well, but for those that want this information in ClickUp, it's a fast and simple way to view all of your leads in one spot!)
ClickUp and Dubsado both integrate with several calendar applications such as Google Calendar and Outlook.
If your Google Calendar is connected to both, all of your Dubsado appointments will also show up in ClickUp from the calendar view.
Think of it this way... Client schedules an appointment with you ➝ Appointment added to your Google Calendar ➝ Google Calendar added to your ClickUp calendar.
It's an easy way to see exactly what you have going on for that entire day or week!
Although this step is not fully "automated", it can still save you loads of time!
You can utilize ClickUp's email-to-task feature to quickly create tasks in ClickUp. If an email from Dubsado pops into your inbox, you can click on the ClickUp icon in your email provider and create, assign and set a due date for that task.
It's a fast and simple way to assign yourself little ClickUp task reminders directly from your email inbox!
Another easy and fast way to add tasks within your ClickUp directly from Dubsado.
You can utilize ClickUp's Chrome extension to quickly create tasks in ClickUp. If something pops up in Dubsado — like a quick reminder to update a workflow or reach out to Dubsado support — you can click on Chrome's ClickUp icon and create a quick reminder task to yourself in ClickUp.
This is great if you're busy working on something in Dubsado, but don't want to have to exit out and head over to ClickUp to add this to your to-do list!
These are some fast and easy to integrate the two applications. Both are great. Both are powerful. And both help improve efficiency within your business!
